KLIMAKA has been operating since 2007, Suicide Intervention Line number 1018. The Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and receives cellular or landline calls, from all over Greece, at a charge. Calls are anonymous and confidential. Klimaka focuses on:

People who have attempted suicide in the past

People with self-destructive behaviour

People who are experiencing loss, or are worried about a person of their own

The Suicide Prevention Line (1018) is part of the Suicide Prevention Day Centre, which operates from KLIMAKA, with support from the Ministry of Health, since April 2012. At the Suicide Prevention Day Centre, specially trained, mental health professionals undertake treatment for people who have committed suicidal behaviour.
