Interested persons may request the service from the Social Services Offices in their district or they can participate in the group when visiting patients at Sandilands Hospital.

Community Counselling and Assessment Centre of Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre

Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre is the Bahamas� national resource for Psychiatric, Geriatric and Substance Abuse Services. The Centre is located in the eastern district of New Providence on Fox Hill Road, has a staff complement of 750 and consists primarily of two Hospitals: Geriatric Hospital which cares for the elderly with medical, social and psychiatric problems; and the Sandilands Hospital that cares for the mentally and physically challenged children, adolescent and adult clients.

The Bahamas Crisis Centre exists to offer free counselling and services for men, women and children who are experiencing any form of abuse; family, relationship of behavioural problem. Click here to learn more about what we do and how we can help.

The Male and Female adult psychiatric clinics are held in the specialty clinics, these clinics are organized by the Sandilands Rehabilitation Center and the Community Counseling and Assessment Center. Follow up care is provided to patients with psychiatric disorders.
